Medications:

In the arena of medications to help overcome vaginismus, I have not seen definitive proof of any particular medication being more helpful then any other. The reason being is the contributory factors for vag vary from person to person, so it would be practically impossible to find a group of women with identical situations to test medications for releasing the spasms associated with vag.
Many women have spoke of using various medications from mood altering to inflammatory to skin strengthening salves. Each has only been spoken about in brief so I have no scientific data to go on to form a conclusive opinion on medications.
I will say that women with aversions to sex or phobias about sex may definitely be helped with a medication to lower the tension associated with severe anxiety or panic attacks associated with those aversions or phobias. The medication in combination with talk therapy may help them to sort out why the phobia exists & help the women find alternatives ways to deal with or overcome these episodes.
